I’m 16 & I’ll be 17 this year, so I’ve been thinking a lot about my future. My dream is to become a hair stylist/makeup artist, and I also want to own my own beauty salon some day. I would like to go to beauty school, but I also want to go to college and major in business or finance so I can manage a business. Are those the right things to major in if I want to open my own salon? & Should I go to beauty school first, then go to college while I’m working as a cosmetologist.. or should I go to college first & then beauty school?
I want my salon to include;
hair – styling, cutting, dying, highlights, perming, extensions, relaxing, etc.
makeup – theater, prom, wedding, & photoshoot makeup. I’d also like to hold makeup classes for anyone in the community wanting to learn more about it.
nails – manicures/pedicures, everything.
waxing – facial & body waxing.
tanning – tanning beds & spray tans.
Thank you for your help :)
A beauty school would like to get a business plan submit to the bank in order to qualify for the business loan.
I am going to interview couple of the business plan writer, what question should I ask, in order to pick the hire a best one?
I have been thinking forever what I want to do with my life, and I’m in the 3rd year of college. I am supposed to graduate next year, but because I keep changing my major I won’t get my Bachelors for another 4 years! Nothing but makeup interests me though :(. I’ve always wanted to be a makeup artist even if it’s on the side of a real career. I never wanted to do that just as my career because it’s unsteady and I felt I just couldn’t live off that. Especially if I have a family one day. I don’t want to have to rely only on a man in case something terrible happens too. My mom was stuck in a marriage because she couldn’t support us on her own (twice! with two different men).
So I was thinking. What if I go to beauty school and open a shop when I’m done. One that does hair, makeup, nails, skin, waxing (all that they show you in beauty school). And I could continue to go to specialty classes so I can do fake eyelashes too and stuff. And then I was also thinking of going to a class to become a wedding planner. So I would do wedding planning too. They all sort of go hand in hand. And if I go overwhelmed, I would hire some help. I don’t know. What do you guys think? Too much? How much do you think I could make a year with a business like that? Any inside thoughts please!! haha I know it costs a lot to start up a business and that’s the whole thing I’m worried about. That and I don’t wanna be barely making it as far as pay goes. thanks!
Ok im 18 in two months and my beauty school program starts in fall. the program all around will cost 3,000 dollars. but i do not have a car nor a job. im wondering how i can get a grant or even a loan. and can i purchase a car with that loan? im moving in with my boyfriend soon, but even if i stayed home i’d still have the same problem no car no job and no money for school.
so heres the basic questions
-is their legit grants for cosmetology?
-how do i apply for a student loan?
-what specific loan can get me a crappy car at the least
PLEASE DONT PUT SMART ASS REMARKS
Thank you so much im gonna leave him and email and im going to stop by my schools office
I live in west virginia. I was wanting to get a job there as a beauty advisor, but i have no previous experience. Do you have to have training already or have gone to beauty school for this job. What kind of things will i have to do for this job? Also how much pay should i start out with? Are there any other jobs that i could apply for there that would not require some previous schooling or special training. I completed my first year of college already for business, but i am taking a semester off and need to get a good job that wont be too stressful. This will be my first real job besides working for my dad. Thanks to anyone who can give me some advice!
my ideal job would be an internship as a manager there, but im not sure if i would qualify.
