I have been studying Beauty care and personality online for nearly 2 years now, the course includes manicure & pedicure, facials, makup, eyebrow shaping and many more. Upon completion i will be getting a certificate for it. I was just wondering what career path will i be able to get into with this? does this mean i am qualified to be able to work in the beauty industry?

thank you your answers will really help me out.
Thanks for the answer guys, i know about the license and all but what i am asking is "will i be able to work in the beauty industry with the beauty certificate"? If so i will start looking into the whole licensing stuff or if i need to get more certificates then i will have to really find another beauty course that i am able to do at home as my baby is still quite young.. I am a young full time mum and i am really tired of just stayin home and not earning any money, we are just living off one income which is my partners income. The faster and more info i know about this, the faster i can start acting on it. Thank you

I’m working at present as an activity officer in a nursing home, its a great job, very rewarding, but the wage is extremely underated .17 p/h. I worked in pharmacy 4 years ago and received 14.80 p/h in four years I’m getting less than more, the beauty industry pays about the same to per hr. I sick of working hard and earning such degrading money, could anyone give me some ideas, on a position that would be well payed, maybe a beauty therapy teacher, or a rep in a beauty company, does anyone out there earn great money and love their job, I would love to hear from you.

Since I was about nine years old I wanted to work in the Fashion Industry. When I was in seventh grade age 12 I decided that I wanted to go to FIDM. Senior year I researched FIDM’s majors and decided that "Beauty industry of merchandise and marketing" would be best for me. I’ve always been a cosmetic junkie. I enjoy studying beauty enhancement and products. It would be my dream to work for a cosmetic company. I’ve done a lot of research and have read reviews saying that you are better off going to UC school first. With that said… which schools would be best ? what would I major in ?
